Geldards Partner Law Firm On EM Lawshare Four Year Panel
EM LawShare, the largest local authority legal consortium in the country, has appointed its panel of law firm partners who will continue to deliver consortium members legal advice at discounted rates.
The consortium, originally launched in 2006, spearheaded the drive to deliver efficiency and cost savings to local authorities buying legal services. It has now grown to over 130 members including local authorities, NHS trusts, fire and rescue services, police forces and housing organisations who can generate savings to the public purse through their bulk buying power. As well as a concentration in the Midlands, members come from across the country, stretching from Plymouth in the south up to Durham in the north.
The legal panel for 2018-2022 comprises seven law firms, who are:
- Geldards
- Anthony Collins Solicitors
- Bevan Brittan
- Browne Jacobson
- Freeths
- Sharpe Pritchard
- Weightmans
Anthony Collins Solicitors is new on the panel, while the other six firms have been reappointed from the previous panel which ran from 2014-2018.
Commenting on the panel, Jayne Francis-Ward, EM LawShare head who is also Corporate Director, Resources at Nottinghamshire County Council, said:
“After another effective procurement process, it is a testament to the consortium and its success that our existing partner firms are so keen to remain part of the continuing growth and development of this unique consortium. We are delighted that for the next four years we can continue to work together to provide the highest quality, cost effective legal services to our members and the addition of Anthony Collins will add to the strength and depth of these innovative arrangements.”
In addition to highly competitive rates for legal support, consortium members benefit from a number of added value services including a free training programme of over 40 courses, free legal helplines, emergency out of hours support, and the high profile EM LawShare annual conference.
