Local government reorganisation: Practical guidance Webinar Series (Part 1)

Book now

With the final decisions on local government reorganisation for the 14 remaining counties in England having now been published, join us on Wednesday 5th August for the first webinar in our series exploring the latest guidance, and what it means for local authorities.

Nearly a third of England’s population live in areas with two-tier local government, where services and responsibilities are split between county and district councils.

Described as a “once-in-a-generation” reform, the aim of Local Government Reorganisation is to end the two-tier system and establish new single-tier unitary councils. These new authorities are intended to strengthen local councils, improve public services, and empower communities.

In this first webinar, together with Linda Jones from Westmorland Burness Council, we will provide an overview of local government reorganisation, including the rationale behind the changes, the latest guidance, and what the reforms could mean for councils and communities.

We hope you are able to join us.
